Cinderella story. Outta nowhere...

Knock it off. You can call his comments a lie, but avoid the personal attacks on him.

It's not a personal attack if what he's saying is a lie.

So say the post is a lie. Say it's bullshit. Don't call him a liar. I know it's semantics, but it could mean the difference between getting an infraction or not depending on the judgment of who's handing it out.

Besides which, the "Suck it up Nancy" part is pretty hard to defend.

Obama's unwanted anniversary: Gitmo

This is an anniversary President Obama would just as soon ignore.A year ago today, the new president signed an executive order to "provide the process whereby Guantanamo will be closed no later than one year from now."
Today, the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, remains open, with nearly 200 detainees.
In some ways, it's an old story: Campaign promises are easier to deliver than government results.

OOPS!

Oops, indeed. Did you miss this post or just choose to ignore it?

Air America Radio closing, filing for bankruptcy

If only those "stupid Americans" would have listened to Air America!

I'm trying really hard to find the relevance between this and the election in Massachusetts unless you're just trying to turn the topic into a general anti-liberal thread, which is against the rules. You can discuss a specific event or policy (and indeed, this in its own topic would have been fine), but if you're just out to bash an entire ideology that's off limits.

Keep it up and it will result in an infraction. This is exactly the kind of thing voggmo got in trouble for. If there was a topic about homosexuality the guy would start posting 900 different articles of little relevance to bash gays.

Either comment on the election or don't, but if you try and turn this into a general anti-liberal thread you're going to get an infraction.

Mods - I wouldn't be opposed to closing this thread as the topic has long since been forgotten.

Scott Brown. A man who probably isn't the kind of Republican you wish for, judging by what I heard about him so far.
Wow.

Gertch, I understand however your reasons in this instance are not enough to close the thread. Besides there is more than likely years and years worth left of Senator Brown topic. We'll see how it goes.

I don't know why he said wow. Gertch has never hidden what he wants in a politician and it's pretty obvious that Brown has little of those qualities. It's possible he may even end up voting for whatever health care reform gets put in front of Congress. Should be interesting.

Scott Brown seems decent in many ways, and I say that as someone who gladly voted for Obama. Brown has everything that would qualify him as a reasonable, moderate Republican.

Exactly.

Yeah, this 'once in a lifetime vote' may actually (hopefully) bite some in the ass.
