O'Brien out, Leno back in?

I'm surprised NBC didn't think of replacing Fallon, too. Give Conan the Late Night gig again and Fallon can bump Carson Daley and get Last Call. :guffaw:

Conan's first few weeks of Late Night were a bit iffy, but what I liked about Conan was that he was usually able to take his mistakes or weaknesses and turn them back around obn himself in a self-deprecating sort of way. This tended to make him that much more funny, IMO.

Oh, you never know. I mean, if Leno had such a loyal audience, surely they would have followed him to prime time. That the didn't follow him to a timeslot that would be earlier in the evening -- thereby allowing them to go to sleep earlier -- suggests to me that he may not be the recipient of audience loyalty that NBC thinks he is. He may well have permanently lost a large percentage of his Tonight Show audience.

I'm thinking a large portion of his audience went to Dave or Nightline since they certainly didn't follow Leno or transition to Conan.

That, or they just ceased to exist.

Funny. They're telling people in a show that no one watches to get a guy's opinion that no one cares about. If people cared, they'd watch his show and everyone would have a show and be happy.

Wait. Do Jay's fans know how to use the interwebs? Maybe they can have their great-grandson come by and show them how to use the computer.
 
I just saw Leno's bit about getting The Tonight Show back and, damn, what a back-stabbing snake that SOB is! Jay actually made it sound like Conan was bailing on a failing network and he was the loyal soldier staying with it. :rolleyes:

And I used to think the worst thing about Leno was that he was bland. Turns out the resentment on Letterman's part toward him was way more than deserved.
 
NBC could say a shitload of money if they just rerun old Leno shows from the 90s, most of his jokes are from then anyways, no one will notice!
 
Robin Williams was really on tonight. "F--- the bastards if they can't take a joke!", as an irish ditty. :)
 
O'Brien sang a little song to the audience at the end. You can tell they're fairly relieved this whole "fracas" is just about over.
