O'Brien out, Leno back in?

I really hope that when Jay takes over The Tonight Show again, the ratings tank and never recover.

In all likelihood they will be lower than before but probably higher than Conan's, which would probably be enough to make NBC wet themselves with glee.

Especially since Leno will have the benefit of a strong primetime lead-in, which Conan didn't get.

That remains to be seen. Perhaps a better phrase miight be a "less pathetic lead-in" to his show since the whole debacle started because Leno was a failure for a lead-in.

On another site, someone mentioned that on today's edition of The Today Show, an entertainment reporter was talking about how most of the celebs that she spoke to at the Golden Globes not only indicated that they were firmly on Team CoCo, but that they weren't interested in going on Jay's show any time in the near future. Knowing this makes me a happy panda, because it means that there's actually going to be some sense of justice coming out of this whole debacle. Leno, have fun trying to explain to your bosses at NBC why you keep getting told to 'F' off by celebrities when your people call and try to book guests for your 'new' TTS.

Well, that remains to be seen. With the exception of maybe two or three shows, NBC doesn't have a strong primetime anything right now. Whether they can fill that 10 pm hour with highly rated programming is a coin toss at this point.

but that they weren't interested in going on Jay's show any time in the near future.

I don't know if they have much choice in the matter. Maybe the A-listers, but I'd guess for everyone else it would be considered unprofessional not to go to Leno's show.

Not to mention the fact that we're talking about a bunch of vain actors who LOVE to be coddled and have their asses kissed. And no one does that better than Leno. lol

Oh, I dunno. Late night is getting more and more crowded, especially if Conan is able to start his own show at the 11 or 11:30 timeslot on Fox. That gives celebrities more and more options to avoid Leno if they feel strongly about this.

And the media would be absolutely murder them if they censor Conan now.

They haven't quite censored him, but they did edit the car bit out of the online broadcast. Probably so they wouldn't have to license the rolling stones track.
THANK you! I watched it on Hulu and was wondering if I fell asleep for a segment. Car? What car? ;)

I have no idea what that is, but it sounds delicious, so I guess I agree.
You know, Wavey Rancheros.
Okay, that was a hoot! I love when he waves! WHY is that simple thing so funny, when so many other guys just fall on their faces?
