Worf vs Martok

Martok? That dude was tough. So who do you think would win in a fight between Worf and Martok...

Even with one eye, when Worf & Martok sparred, Worf only got through & cut the general once, which was treated by Bashir.

I'd say they're a pretty even match.

It is a tough call, I went with Worf. I think Worf has more power and speed than Martok, and, I think Worf has been more obsessive about his training and practice. Martok has more overall hand-to-hand experience, but I think I'd put my latinum on a latter-DS9 Worf as winning that fight. An early TNG Worf would of course get his ass handed to him within 5 seconds.

I say Martok. Worf is just too much a wussy gentlemen to really go for the thoart. Martok is a real Klingon who isn't afraid to do whatever it takes to win, even if Humans think it's dishonorable.

I'm not sure what Worf's son's fighting abilities have to do with Worf's own. And I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of sissies in the Klingon Empire, but most of the time they manage to cover it with their bluster.

Besides, fathering a "sissy" future diplomat is far better than fathering a stupid bully who is only good at "fighting" smaller and weaker people, and even that only while he has a couple of his mates he help out.

That is true. But that was against Duras, and I'll gladly take Martok over Duras any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Worf, obviously. We all saw how Worf mowed down all the Jem' Hadar he faced at the internment camp except the First. Martok didn't fare anywhere near as well.

Martok is older and wiser than Worf and better suited as leader of the Klingon Empire. Worf recognized this. But Worf is the better fighter.

I think Martok could probably kick Worf's butt, and voted accordingly, but let's face it - the writers would never have Worf losing a fight on-screen, unless it was against 4,000 drooling homicidal Gorn who'd been dosed up to their eyeballs on psychotropic drugs...

It seems to go back in forth, but tips in Worf's favor as a better fighter.

In the Dominion prison camp, Worf goes through 7 jem hadar straight in a matter of days, whereas Martok was shown being beaten by one when they first arrived.

On the other hand, Worf was worn out after those few days or weeks there, and he said he considered letting the Jem hadar kill them in the ring on purpose.

Martok was there for 2 years and still continued to fight.

If he lasted that long, he either stayed down after being beaten a lot, which is hard to believe for Martok or he beat a number of Jem Hadar before he got too weak.

I wonder if Martok had actually beaten a Jem Hadar in that ring...
