Was Stewart acting in '65 or '66? Peter Butterworth was a known quantity. Stewart would have been a genuine unknown at the time.
Or are you referring to the Sun's rumors that Stewart will be the Meddling Monk in the fifth season? That one's been trotted out a few times the past few years. No one puts any stock in the Sun.
As I remarked above, Stewart had a minor role in a '66 production of Hamlet. His professional stage career began in 1959.

Yes, Who fans keep speculating that the Monk is going to return. Hell, John Simm was thought to be playing the Monk for a while there.
I'm really looking forward to this. Two of my favorite actors on screen together in a Shakespeare play? That's worth watching just on it's own.
