Ugh, that's easily one of the worst things I've ever seen.

It's certainly not up to the standards of Children of Dune, but it has a certain charm all its own.

I can actually understand that. It is a bit slow-paced for a film. I prefer to think of it as "accurate", though, since it mostly sticks very close to the novel.

I wonder what the next Spaced based series will be. There always seemed to be one at one time or another (BSG, Doctor Who, which is more earth based, but they do travel in space sometimes, Star Trek) but now it does seem pretty dead.

As for Scifi I'm looking forward to, I rented Moon yesterday and want to see that this weekend.

The CW may be launching a teens-in-space show. Plymouth Rock: drama about young people on a ship traveling to a distant planet in order to colonize and save the human race.

I'm sorry to have to say I'm not joking about that.

Dune has the better story, certainly. But CoD cleans up in the style category.

I actually tried reading it and couldn't get through more than a couple chapters before getting bored and giving up.

It's certainly not the lightest reading around. As I recall I found the early chapters a bit of a chore as well. Need to re-read it one of these days and see what I think now.
