The Cardassian Union has conquered cyberspace

Awesome!!! I'm not even on Facebook, but that's awesome. And I love how the most important pics are of Damar--I mean, yeah, there's Dukat, but Damar really gets to be first. As it should be! ;)

Unfortunately, I see evidence of a few people who have not learned the lessons of history...

Political views: Other

Interests: Creating a stronger Union and maintaining our position in the alpha quadrant.
Intelligence is essential; to that end the Obsidian Order works tirelessly to gather information and undermine our rivals.
Otherwise we work to ensure a strong and healthy state in order to promote stability for all our citizen's

We do this in the name of Cardassia!

Favourite books: The never ending sacrifice.

Favourite TV programmes: Star trek Deep Space Nine.
But which one? :)

I'm more a fan of Meditations on a Crimson Shadow. In retrospect, its depiction of a future war between the Klingons and the Cardassians was remarkably prescient, making it truly a masterpiece of speculative fiction.

Why the glorious repetitive epic that shows all citizens the wisdom of service and the importance of family!

Although I am very fond of meditations on a crimson shadow. I particularly enjoyed Gul Yerok's heartfelt monologue upon the nature of mercy to a beaten foe and the necessary to educate them in the correct path to responsibility. I don't know how the author got away with calling it 'the True Way':wtf:

Alas I have been unable to obtain (if you pardon the rather obvious pun) a copy of the Hebitian records. Perhaps you would be so kind as to provide a synopses Legate?

(And you're in a more Cardassian FB group USS Bones? Which one would that be...)

Only one synopsis of the Hebitian Records is needed, my friend: it is the book in which all things are written. :)

(That description comes from the DS9 novel Night of the Wolves.)

I really like The Never-ending Sacrifice, and it does deal with the importance of family - however, I'm not sure about what it says about the wisdom of service... oh wait, I have the wrong one, don't I? :cardie:

The Detapa Council wishes to assure the Trek BBS that, despite the commendable enthusiasm of Central Command in the matter of Cardassian expansion into the realm of cyberspace, the term "conquered" carries connotations possibly encouraging unrest, and, dare I suggest, dissatisfaction with the policies of the state. Thus, we wish to clarify that the incorporation of cyberspace into the Union is nothing more than a carefully-structured program of Advancement and Education, whereby the benefits of the unparalleled Cardassian schooling system, political philosophies and well-maintained supply lines are to be bestowed upon the natives in return for exclusive access to the natural resources of cyberspace, such as they are, for use in maintaining the might of the Union, and assuring continued high standards of living for all loyal citizens and their families. As per Directive 457-32A, all documents and commentaries continuing to use the disapproved term "conquest" to refer to the Advancement of Cyberspace will be classified materials of dissent, and their authors subject to re-education and possible discipline. Thank you.

(;))

The central Command would like to support the statement made herein above by the Speaker of the Council, under the proviso that the affairs of the CC are a guaranteed autonomy as per the aforementioned Articles of Union which therefore stipulates that the military operations of the Cardassian Union and its affiliates and client worlds are the sole responsibility of the Central Command. The actions of this august body are not subject to any normal review and can only be judged on the cost value of said actions and there inherent consequences for the citizens of our great Union.

For Cardassia,
The Executive Council of the Central Command.

(Ha! Very well-written, guys! ;) )

As for Central Command and the Detapa Council--if you truly think you are subject to no review whatsoever, then you have clearly forgotten the all-seeing eye of the Obsidian Order.

I'm convinced that's what USS Bones has joined... the Order surely needs canny operatives who are able to fox, outwit and generally bamboozle even the most Cardassian of Cardassians?

Mmm, no, not quite. But I am in a big, secret Cardassian group. It's an invitation only thing.

My head is spinning...Gimme the kanar.

Actually, never mind. I am a dedicated starship commander in the Cardassian Guard and I would never drink on duty. So I think I'll just forget the whole thing.

^ If it's so secret, why are you talking about it? :cardie: :D
It was brought up. And there's the off-chance that someone else here may be in it, and recognise it by the mention.

Come on, the point of being in any "secret" organization is to be able to brag about being so important and powerful that you're in a secret organization. :p
That too.

I wouldn't worry. I mean, Damar himself was half cut for most of the time, and that all worked out.

Oh, hang on...

We Twitters are outraged by this advance as it shows that the Federation doesn't care about the Cardassian Union's advances into cyberspace, and demonstrates that if Cardassia came into our Twitter - that the Federation would do nothing.
