People have been saying it's a great Babylon 5 fanfiction story. What's so great about it? I'm wondering whether or not I should bother read it.

I read about 1/4 or so of the first volume and have had all of printed for some time--I do plan to read it all someday.
It's well-written (already putting it leaps and bounds above most fanfiction) and it's interesting to see someone's take on Babylon 5 if an important events had been altered.
Wow...this brings back memories. I was hooked on it right away from the first volume and just the sheer epicness of a fan fic that mirrors Babylon 5 should be worth the read.
Other major spoilers:
Knight Rider is about a guy with a talking car.
Battlestar Galactica is a spaceship that fights robots.
Doogie Howser really is a licensed medical doctor despite only being 14.
Humbert Humbert has the hots for Lolita.
Spock is an alien from the planet Vulcan.
Darth Vader is really ... no wait, that actually is a spoiler.

Regardless, this is still not the kind of stunt to pull in here. Just try to keep things sensible and considerate when it comes to people potentially new to a story, that's all.

I was not pulling a "stunt". That implies I was intentionally causing trouble and I wasn't. I couldn't remember what this story was, and asked an honest question.
Also, I couldn't figure out how to do the spoiler tag.

Just make the first parenthesis into a bracket, and instead of XX indicate what the spoiler is about. Like this.

Then I sincerely apologize for my poor choice of words.
It's still possible to insert a series of blank lines with the first indicating something like "Potential spoilers" when asking about content. It makes for a simple way to satisfy everyone's needs. And "thank" to Harvey for providing an example of how to use the spoiler tag.
Regarding the OP-The story is a mind-blower. The depth and complexity of the story elevates it above nearly every fanfic I've ever read-and I have a boring job and have read a ton of fanfic along the way. It rivals Tolkein in scope, the actual series in cleverness and goes places you just don't expect while tying everything from the original series into the plot. It is very large(over a million words) but I found it a worthy read, with excellent characters and a unique path for the reader to follow.
It's posts like this which really do get me interested in this work. Where can I get a copy of it? As big a B5 fan as I am, I'm now intrigued to see jsut what the author has done.
I loved this series and I've read it two or three times. Actually, I think I should go back and read it again.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. Very necessary, or you'll be 100,000 words in before you understand everything that's going on.
You read it 2 or 3 times?!!? Holy frak! I loved it but will wait a few more years-that was a heck of an undertaking. About like reading the ST fanfic Arc of the Wolf by SLWatson.
