Noel Neill's Lois was better in the serials with Kirk Alyn, actually.
As a Superman fan(atic), I love this show, especially that first season with Phyllis Coates as my favorite iteration of Lois Lane.
Mmm, Coates was better-looking than Noel Neill, but NN was more charismatic.
(My favorite Lois is the S:TAS version voiced by Dana Delany, especially when written by Hilary J. Bader.)
Yes, Coates was better looking but I was speaking more on her performance as Lane. She was much more believable as a tough-as-nails crime reporter than Noel Neill. I didn't find Neill that charismatic in the role because her voice was grating when she was being assertive or aggressive.
Moreover, Coates' Lane was a fitting rival for George Reeves' Clark Kent. She also fit well with the noir milieu of the first season (something I wish carried over into the later seasons, and into later Superman incarnations).

Anyone have a Superman T Shirt? I got one.
I like the episode where Superman leaves 2 people that had figured out his secret ID on top of a mountain to die.

Do you consider him EARTH 1 or EARTH 2? Thats how I explain that show to my son...George's SUPERMAN is the Earth Two and Chris's was Earth-one...

Ha, yeah that cracked me up when I first saw it.
Although the Superman of the original comics seemed to have a bit of a nasty streak too, so I guess it was pretty consistent in that way.
I saw this show in reruns back in the 1970s when I was a kid. I am collecting the seasons on DVD now. I just love it!
I do not remember any indication of such intent on Superman's part.I like the episode where Superman leaves 2 people that had figured out his secret ID on top of a mountain to die.

To be fair, he had every intent of setting them up with gear to survive. I do wonder if he knew in his heart that they were too stupid to not try and go down that mountain.
