As a Superman fan(atic), I love this show, especially that first season with Phyllis Coates as my favorite iteration of Lois Lane.
I've liked it since I was a kid. I own all the episodes on DVD.

George Reeves's portrayal of Clark Kent is interesting as he plays it in a very assertive, post-crisis kind of way. I wonder if the Post-Crisis revamp team took cues from this portrayal.
I thought I was the only one who had collected the complete series on DVD! It's a wonderful series, and in addition to Reeves and the two Loises, it was also blessed with the finest Jimmy and Perry there's ever been, Jack Larson and John "Great Caesar's ghost!" Hamilton. Just watching those two do their things is great entertainment.
Yes, they did. John Byrne did indeed base Clark Kent on George Reeves's version of Clark, and Tim Daly also did so on Superman: TAS.

Mmm, Coates was better-looking than Noel Neill, but NN was more charismatic.
(My favorite Lois is the S:TAS version voiced by Dana Delany, especially when written by Hilary J. Bader.)
