As long as they finish at least in the middle of the pack, I'll be happy. I'd hate to see Boston get a top five first round pick in next summer's draft due to that trade for Kessel.
Yeah, agreed. I think the Kessel deal will pay off, long term. I mean, he's currently about a point-per-game player, on pace for 40 goals on his (shortened) season, and he's clearly given the rest of the team a confidence boost. Even with a top five pick, there's no guarantee of getting someone who can provide that kind of impact within a few years.
