Kirk vs. Picard
Picard 1, Kirk 0
Good grief, why are some people so determined to be negative about everything? Come on, people! It's Patrick Stewart and he's becoming a knight! That's just intrinsically cool. Why take all the fun out of it?
I'm not knocking Patrick Stewart, I just don't understand the whole "knight" thing. It's not like they give him a horse and armor and he patrols the streets at knight saving damsels in distress.
I guess it's a British thing...sort of like how the "Prince" part of Prince Charles means Jack Squat.
It would seem you know "Jack Squat".Good grief, why are some people so determined to be negative about everything? Come on, people! It's Patrick Stewart and he's becoming a knight! That's just intrinsically cool. Why take all the fun out of it?

^ I thought so, but someone in another thread posted a link to a lengthy explanation as to why not. So, I'm not sure.
I wonder will he sign his autographs 'Sir Patrick Stewart' from now on!!!
Yep, I can just see the next TNG movie... Data's cat gets in Picard's way, and Picard has finally had enough:Awesome!
He should start wearing a sword and speaking only in old Shakespearian English!![]()
"Out, damned Spot!"

Sir Ian McKellan
now Charles Xavier is on an even footing with Magneto...![]()
Yes, but he also tried to overthrow Queen Mary and put Helena Bonham Carter (Jane Grey) on the throne - and was executed!^Although since he's actually been the king of England (more than once, not to mention the king of Scotland and the king of Denmark), isn't he a bit overqualified?
I'm very happy for Patrick, but people must realise one thing. The man is millionaire Champagne socialist who lives the life of Reilly while financially funding a Government and political party that, through "redistribution of wealth", wants to put everyone in the UK in to poverty.
He's a great actor and very pleasant guy, but politically I have no time for him. If he was true to his convictions, he wouldn't even be accepting his Knighthood.
