best FROZEN PIZZA

Microwave + Pizza = Fail. Toaster oven or oven is the only way.

As I said in the other pizza thread, the best way to reheat pizza is on the stovetop. Heat a skillet on low until it's heated through, then put the pizza in and cover it. The pan acts as a stone, while the lid retains the moisture. This method works best with stainless steel, although non-stick pans will work in a pinch. (Don't do it with cast iron, though, as you'll vulcanize the pizza.)

Most the frozen pizzas I get are bigger than the skillets i have. Is it okay if they sink into the skillet?

Rob

Oh, I wasn't referring to frozen pizzas, merely leftovers. Frozen pizza in anything other than an oven is a mistake.

And yet I had chicken wings and salad for lunch. :(

I bet they're some sort of gourmet chicken wings and salad. You probably grew the plants and spices and raised the chicken yourself on a specific diet of your handmade chili spice mix.

Tombstone Pepperoni Garlic Bread Crust Pizza. Though lately I've been enjoying Target generic brand supreme pizza which is shockingly yummy!

California Pizza Kitchen's frozen pizzas are almost as good as eating them in their restaurants. The plain thin crust Pizza Magherita is the best.

I don't think I'd ever refer to anything served from the kitchen at the Shot Tower Inn in Dubuque as "gourmet."

Unfortunately, it's right across the street from my office. :(

I like DiGiorno's & Freschetta...Tombstone did have a really good rising crust pizza but I haven't seen it in years.
I have also got good deli pizza...Foodlions deli pizza tasted real good...almost like Papa John's.

As far as mass produced ones go, I'm a sucker for those little Totino's party pizzas. The best frozen pizzas though are Heggies Pizza.

They're a small family owned business in northern MN and they're primarily sold in bars in the Twin Cities, although you can find frozen ones if you drive out to some of the smaller non-chain grocery stores outside of the metro area.

Home Run Inn.

The only frozen pizza I can stand.

Now, always and forever, you and I can agree upon something.

It seems much of the time on culinary/food matters you and I agree.

My store (a Hy Vee) carries them. Now, I admit that if I want pizza I'm more likely to realize this when it's "too late" and will order Pizza Hut or Dominos. If I feel like driving to get a pizza I'll go for Ceasar's, Godfathers or a handful of really good local places. If I've really had time to plan and am feeling really ambitious I'll make my own. But it's such a hassle that's fairly rare to occur.

So that leaves me with eating Home Run Inn pizza at times when I'm leaving work, know what I want for dinner and remember to grab it.

The best frozen pizza I ever had was Tony's Deli-Style Pizza. It was the only frozen pizza I thought had a genuine pizzeria taste to it. I haven't tasted any since then that have come close to it (and believe me, I've had many since then).

Naturally, it was only around for a year before it was discontinued...

Okay okay I see you have food weaknesses just like the rest of us.

With frozen pizza you really have to strike a balance between taste and value. California Pizza Kitchen and Digiorno's are good but too expensive. I usually go with Freschettas, Red Baron or store brand depending what's on sale. Tony's are usually the cheapest but low quality IMHO.

Home Run Inn. Thread's over, everyone go home.
This must be regional or something because I've never heard of it.
