The End Of Time Part 1 - Comment & Grading SPOILERS

Saw it tonight. I was grinning the entire time. That notwithstanding, I'm torn. I guess I'll have to see the second part to judge it.

just one immature comment from me, if the Master is everyone, what if a couple were having sex during the change, was the Master having sex with himself?

Also other than to piss off the Doctor, why does he need 6 billion clones of himself? what are they all going to do? would the clone masters accpet the authority of the original master? why would they becasue as far as they are concerned they are the Master.

Oi! Bad mental image!

Hello, insane ego-maniac!

As for accepting authority, it seemed like they were all of like mind.

That's your first mistake, wamdue. You're expecting the Master's plan to make sense. The Master's plans are always a bit crap. And this one even moreso; he was incompletely resurrected, he's manifested strange powers, and he's clearly gone off the deep end.

What about baby's and children also?
People driving , flying planes (visions of Flash Forward here)

The dreams are happening foreshadowing the Masters off the cuff plan, therefor the Masters plan is not off the cuff, it's part of a larger conspiracy and the master is just a tool rather than a player following out some other buggers playbook.

he was programmed to do all this.

lucy too.

That woman makes me week at the knees.

Just a glorious vision.

It was criminal to murder her.

And it was ridiculous to say that that villain only spent a year and two kissing her just so that he coud smudge enough of his DNA into her that his ressurection would take... I liked it that he was Tarzan doing it with a monkey like Chris Lambert in that grey stoke movie... Anthropologically curious. It made the Doctor seem laughably like such a prude.

But I suppose that Doctor did the same thing to Martha when they first met to confuse the Judoon.

But didn't she wash? Ever? How hard did he kiss her?

A minimetacrisis?

Oddly being partly Master already she wouldn't have turned into the Master if she hadn't died in that explosion?

Though, if she was part master, and part "Him" well that turns sex with a primate into merely masturbation, which is a little more understandable even if all of you think hat the Doctor and rose belong together?

I'm wondering if the woman in white that Wifred is seeing is Romana or maybe even Susan or possibly a White Guardian since she was dressed all in white?

of course, what was I thinking :guffaw:

What about baby's and children also?
People driving , flying planes (visions of Flash Forward here)
that is actually an even better point

What about sex?

Blowjobs would get gnashingly dicy with all that shaking and straight out sex would turn into an act of castration too as all those snug little snatches trasfrom into meat and two vege, sure mabe one penis is pushed out by he other penis, but that better happen quick-like before it all ends like it almost did in star wars when our heroes were trapped in that imperial trash compactor.

The sodomites would be safe?

I've noticed a lot of people (not just here, but all over the internet) are speculating The Woman is the White Guardian. As cool as I think that would be (and I have no problem with the White Guardian being a woman - see "The Ten Doctors"), I doubt that will happen. I figure she's a Time Lord we've never met before.

If I have to see Simm's manically laughing one more time i'm going to go crazy.

Martha as the Master
Luke as the Master
Sarah Jane as the Master

The Brig as the Master

it's a scary thought.

Luke is a Bane Construct. That might save him?

If he's already ten thousand children, would he really notice the addition of a single Timelord?

Hmmm?

People have lost a lot of weight, or gained some in the case of children, to become the master, are they going to get all that mass back at the end? because burning calories.mass is easy enough, but creating new mass to replace the missing bits requires a source or act of creation?

Luke is an interesting one, as intelligent is I think Luke is, I dont think he would be immune to it, and would become the Master like everybody else.

As for this question of, who are the Time Lords, I dont see any reason why any of them would be people we already know, ok I would not mind seeing one of them being Romana, but apart from that im not fussed.

Given how much the Master loves himself, I don't think this will be a problem.

Also other than to piss off the Doctor, why does he need 6 billion clones of himself? what are they all going to do? would the clone masters accpet the authority of the original master? why would they becasue as far as they are concerned they are the Master.
The Master is so self-centered, I actually don't think this would be a problem for him.

Only? The Master at his best is playing three games at once (i.e., Castrovalva). Why can't he be doing both?

I'm wondering if the woman in white that Wifred is seeing is Romana or maybe even Susan or possibly a White Guardian since she was dressed all in white?
Yes, Russell T Davies will cap off his era by bringing back a crap character from one episode in 1978. (Okay, and 1983.)

Luke is a Bane Construct. That might save him?
I suspect that, like the question of what Sarah Jane and the kids were up to during Children of Earth, we'll never know.

Regarding the sex thing, I would assume that during the few seconds of disorientation and visions of the Master's face that EVERYONE had prior to starting the big shake, that anyone having sex of any kind would stop.

Back on topic, I dunno if anyone's brought it up yet, but in the final shot, there are two people flanking James Bond who are hiding their faces for some reason. One seems to be the woman in white (whom I'll agree will just be another time lady on the Doctor's side), and there's no real clue as to who the other person is. A lot of people seem to think, based on his hair and stature, that it's THIS guy. Dunno about that, but it wouldn't surprise me THAT much given how over-the-top everything else is in this episode....

Mark

What about the inquistior? Lynda Bellingham is fun. I have no idea how she didn't get the part for this lady in white anyhow.

Now i'll tell you how was just gorgeous in the 70s... Hilary Ryan who played a time lady (some of her dialogue actually had me thinking that that not all Gallifreyans are timelords) Rodan. Just delightful.

O.

The lady in white could be Leela?

what about babies still inside their mothers?

As babies grow to adult timelord size without exiting as their mothers nurturing feeding trough organs become male and barren it's a lop sided race to see will kill the other first.

Pregant women are going to exlpode.

The former children thrown free, laying in the fragmenture of their sires carcass however are probably so fracked up by all of that that they'll have to regenerate instantly.

Would they all regenerate the same?

Considering all these accidents, you'd have possibly millions of masters with different faces, personas outlooks and uptakes, hell a few of them might even be decent blokes.

whilst I was watching it, I thought it was the 4th Doctor, but that would be crazy as Tom Baker no longer looks like that, it could work if it was the 11th Doctor however.

Or 9b?

9D, sorry. Forgot about ricard E Grant and Rowan Atkinson.

they'll all from the Cyberman mirror Universe.
