Where is everyone now?

Well, it's been about six years since Enterprise's cancellation was announced. I wanted to discuss where everyone is now with some what happened and what we think will happen in the future.

The only one I really know about is Scott Bakula, who's in a new TNT series which is actually very good: Men of a Certain Age. (I'm usually disappointed by TNT - like Leverage.) Scott plays an actor who hasn't yet made the big time and dates a woman half his age. It's not heart warming, which is awesome. And it's not purely a comedy, which is also good. Each of the characters have a bunch of issues that both prevent them from success and mark what's likable about them.

What will happen to Scott? I don't know. I'm impressed the guy has staying power. He's managed to do a bunch of comedies, including a major movie (Informant) that's up for at least one Golden Globe. I think he'll continue to get great parts, and I'll think he'll continue to be selective about what those are. :techman:

I have to admit, I don't know much about what everyone else is doing.

I heard Jolene was going to appear in Legend of the Seeker somewhere in this season. It's a pretty fun series, very musically inspired, plus everyone and their mother is either very charismatic or beautiful. And then they all jump somewhere, epic music kicks in, and some really cool slow-mo sword movements follow and... If you haven't seen the series, you might want to try episode Denna. That kinda captures the essence of this show the most.

John Billingsley was in True Blood. It's a typical HBO goodness but with vampires. He played a very minor role. He was that random fat guy who did random silly things when some greek woman controlled the entire town.

^I haven't seen the second season yet, but Billingsley plays Mike Spencer, the coroner of Renard Parish as well as a funeral home director in Bon Temps. As I mentioned in another thread, it's always sort of surprising to not see him in his Phlox makeup; I didn't recognize it was him until I saw his name in the end credits.

Maryann, the maenad who's running the orgies (of which Mike Spencer is a frequent participant) was played by Michelle Forbes, better known around here by her roles as Ensign Ro on TNG, and Admiral Cain on nuBSG.

Can't wait to see Jolene in LotS! She'll fit in just nicely with all the other gorgeous women...

Personally, I've been starting to bend both ways when watching LotS. There was this one time when I repeteadly rewinded a scene just because Richard did a cute thing with his face. I've learned quite a lot about myself when watching LotS.

I'm starting to like Cara more than Kahlan. I remember how beautiful I found Kahlan to be in season 1, especially after that first blood rage scene... but now.

Would like to see Denna again. She just devoured the scenes.

Connor just finished a month long run in "Equivocation" at UCLA's Geffen Playhouse. He got a lot of good reviews for his portrayal of Sir Robert Cecil, advisor to King James I.

Patrick J. Adams as King James I
and Connor as Sir Robert Cecil

Stage and Cinema (this guy hated the play)
The company of actors (Patrick J. Adams, Brian Henderson, Connor Trinneer, and Troian Bellisario) at least have the ardor and vigor of youth. And Trinneer, doubling in the part of Sir Robert Cecil, the king’s envoy, brings to the character an unctuous charm and fascinating physicality which announce an actor of considerable promise.

Orange County Register:
Shakespeare (Joe Spano) is the pivotal character in "Equivocation." "Shag," as he’s affectionately known to the other members of his theatrical cooperative, The King’s Men, has been commissioned to do the impossible: turn a one-sided account of the 1605 Gunpowder Plot into a play. (The failed conspiracy was hatched by disgruntled English Catholics to kill King James I and his Protestant allies while he was in the House of Lords by blowing the place sky high.)
The mastermind of this dastardly P.R. project is Sir Robert Cecil (Connor Trinneer), the King’s Secretary of State. A scheming, crippled Machiavelli with more than a passing resemblance to Richard III, Cecil will stop at nothing, including intimidation and blackmail, to transform the official version of the Gunpowder Plot – described in a slim book by the King himself – into a cautionary play for the masses.
...
Spano’s Shag is impressive – a fading and wistful literary warrior, almost too weary at times to fight this battle. Trinneer’s Cecil and Groener’s Garnet are also vivid, memorable creations.

Hollywood Reporter:
Most of the actors play several parts and acquit themselves well. Trinneer's twisted Cecil is a nasty piece of work, and Groener's Richard Burbage, Shag's trusted friend, is a strong presence throughout.

ETA: I got to see the play and Connor really was amazing.

Linda Park stars in the tv series Crash on Starz. I've seen her in ads for this series on tv the other day. She's been on the series for 2 seasons now. Anthony Mongomery is starring as a comedian in a comedy called Why can't I be? according to Imdb it was recently released in theaters. Earlier this year he went to China to film a martial arts movie that I didn't see listed at imdb.

I didn't realize that Jolene was going to be in Legend of the Seeker. Good for her. You know, Jimmy Bob, I disagree about all the characters being beautiful. I think the guys, including Richard, aren't very attractive. Anyway, the series is cute.

Que? This just begs more clarification, as in "if they aren't then who is" way.

Really? It's the opposite for me. I always recognise him and I have a hard time not thinking about him as Phlox. In True Blood's last season he has some - mmh, how should I call them - weird scenes and I was thinking, "OMG, Phlox does that!"
Outside of ENT, I first saw him in a movie called "Out of Time", where he also played a doctor (does he ever play anything else?) and he really was Phlox without the make-up to me. Other people in the cinema recognised him as well. I heard someone say, "Phlox!"

Who cares, as long as the chicks remain stunning. :D

BTW, I really liked Kahlan, up until Cara showed up... After that I kinda stopped noticing her... :D

I've recently spotted Scott Bakula in an episode of "Boston Legal" - it was interesting to watch two Star Trek captains in a totally different kind of show.

I recently saw an American Express commercial and I think Jolene was the girl in it. Have to see it again to be sure.

:)

Good looking dudes: George Clooney, Carey Grant (in his day), David Duchovny, James Purefoy, Mr. Spock, Scott Bakula, Eric Bana .... The LoTS guys are either short or old. Sometimes both!

TruthSeeker - agreed. Wouldn't it have been fun for Patrick Stewart to come on as maybe a crazy judge? Maybe have a cameo with Avery Brooks?

Speaking of cameos, have any of the cast had cameos in blockbusters or hit television series? Like I think someone was a dead body in CSI. (I'm probably totally misrememberring.)
