Indiana Jones film trilogy

The music.

The one-liners ("No....TICKET!", "He chose...poorly").

The hot babe from part III.

The scene with the ark opening and all the Nazis being killed graphically.

That bit where there's a sword fighting guy doing all these fancy moves and then Indy just takes out a gun and shoots the guy (reportedly because Harrison Ford had a bad case of the trots when they were shooting the scene - linky).

I dunno - I sorta think of them as Raiders (which is NOT Indy and the Raiders; he's one also) and the sequel/prequel trilogy. :)

Re: Indiana Jones film series...

I am not a Spielberg fan, but I do enjoy the Indy series...

The action and music work well; there are hilarious situations that occur when things seem to be going sour, etc....

I do realize that Indy 4 wasn't as strong as the others in the series...but I still like it....

I like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Temple of Doom.

The others...not really, they crossed from satire/homage/action into self-satire/farce.

I love all four movies to varying degrees. I love the adventure and mysticism in the 1930s, the sense of fun and adventure in the years leading up to WWII (well not in real life mind you but in fiction).

I like the first and third films in the series, but the second and fourth left me cold.

And if nothing else: Karen Allen.

Re: Indiana Jones Series

I love them all. They are fun adventure movies with intentional over-the-top action sequences and an interesting story to go along with. Also, Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones is awesome. You can tell he loves that character and, as a viewer, makes me love the movies even more.

I like the action and humor, both were better in the first two, music and sets, also the way that Indy is such a star of a character even with assistants, that quality was also reduced in the last two.

In order I liked: Raiders, Holy Grail, Temple of Doom, and Crystal Skull.

The first is just a classic, going back to the days of the old Cliff Hangers Movie serials. My dad liked that retro style of story telling. And who better to play Indy's father than Sean Connery? (Not found of the ladies are you Trebeck?)

It's a neologism coined by the marketing team behind the Alien Quadrilogy DVD Boxset. I suppose "quad" is more recognizable to the general populace than "tetra."
