If you want to express your aesthetic side, it doesn't have to be as primary creation of arts & crafts. It can also be designing, or even in synthesising works others have created into a fresh whole. For instance, that's how I view my interest in clothes.
I could also see someone finding a similar aesthetic satisfaction from interpretation and critique of another medium. I find this in appreciating wine, for example.
Point is, expressing oneself is not merely a matter of primary creation, though of course I'm certain that must be incredibly fulfilling too, if one is sufficiently talented in that direction.
