I need a hobby and I have no artistic skills

I've been bored recently so I spent like $20 on trying to paint. I failed horribly, it might as well be made by a 4 year old cat. I can't drawn, looks like it's done by an 8 year old, I can't paint and I can't write. I just want something to do and express myself but I have nothing and I am good at nothing, but gardening, but it's December.

Collect things. Stamps, world currency, antiques, works of art, lost souls... everyone's got a collection of something.

I also have no artistic talent. Regrettably, photography is one of my hobbies... one of the most expensive art related hobbies there is. It is fun, though... and involves cool toys.

Try some pixel art.

Limit yourself to 16 x 16 pixels, zoom in and draw try to draw a cube as viewed from one corner (isometric). Then try drawing some little people...

or some space invaders...

then cut out some squares of coloured card or get some ceramic tiles, and arrange them to make the same picture. Stick them on a backboard, and place inside picture frame. Hang on wall when done.

Take up reading. It's a two-for-one hobby. You get to collect many interesting books, AND read them.

It's one of my favorite ways to relax.

Funnily enough, I began my occasional (i.e. if nothing else to do) hobby of artwork with pixel art. Mine were mostly 2D, though, limited to designing levels and custom graphics sets for Repton 3.

That recent pixel-art blog website mentioned in one of the Misc. threads a few months ago reignited that interest in a big way.
