Iron Man 2 trailer description and ET sneak peek

Re: "You complete me..." IRON MAN 2 Trailer

Is that line pointing fun of The Dark Knight? Seems that way. Either way, lackluster trailer. The Comic-Con one was better.

Re: "You complete me..." IRON MAN 2 Trailer

Uh, no...I think it's a reference to what The Dark Knight was a reference to. It's a joke riffing on Jerry Maguire.

Looks cool and it looks like it'll be a fun movie. However, the trailer was oddly pieced together. It didn't have a natural flow that is somewhat expected of trailers today.

For some reason Stark's line of "You complete me" had me thinking of another movie. ;)

Jerry Maguire? :p

It seems like the last one was just in theatres. Marvel is really pushing this series--a lot faster than Warner Bros. is pushing its Batman franchise. The first film was fun, if slight. This looks no different. It should make for an enjoyable two hours come summertime.

I am half surprised the government didn't "eminent domain" Tony's equipment...

Yeah. Between "eminent domain" and a whole bunch of broad anti-terror laws passed after 9/11, there's no way Tony's equipment is safe from the government. And considering S.H.I.E.L.D. was able to cover-up Obidiah Stane's death in the last movie, I guarantee you it would take very little for the government to make Tony Stark disappear.

I think that is more Chris Nolan than WB. My thinking is that if it were up to WB, Batman 3 would be out next summer.

Who knows what he is supplying SHIELD. Perhaps SHIELD is the only thing keeping Tony Stark from disappearing. Also, judging by the trailer, it seems that Tony/Iron Man are very, very popular with people. Having him mysteriously disappear after saying "No, you don't get my stuff," would look very suspicious and probably be counter productive.

Eh, it's just a trailer. Hopefully the movie will go more into it.

Looks great. Loved the bit with Iron Man and War Machine standing back to back blowing away all of those robots(?). I'm assuming they're dispatched by Sam Rockwell's Justin Hammer character, who is a rival businessman to Stark.

Personally I think Cheadle is a much better choice for Rhodes/War Machine than Howard, so I'm happy with that.

I still don't know how Whiplash is seriously supposed to represent much of a threat to Stark when he has the Iron Man suit on (just fly or stand out of range and shoot him), but maybe he's only a brief threat to Stark when he's not in the suit and not the major baddie of the entire film.

I thought the trailer was a little underwhelming myself...but there were some nice moments, like Pepper kissing Tony's helmet and tossing it out the plane. I think that I'm really going to enjoy the congressional hearing sequence, I hope it's on the longish side, Gary Shandling as a Senator is just awesome, I thought I noticed Sam Rockwell's Justin Hammer sitting along with the Air Force generals when Tony gets up and does his double peace sign thing to the crowd. Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanov/Black Widow is starting to grow on me, I still would have preferred Emily Blunt but Scarlett is indeed nice looking in that outfit! I'm still meh on Whiplash...and I caught Nick Fury meeting with Tony inside the donut shop as shown in the comic con footage.

Shoot To Thrill + The Razor's Edge + War Machine with mini-guns = all kinds of awesome!

SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Tony didn't seem the least bit worried about retrieving the falling helmet. I can't wait to see how he accomplishes this.

Thank goodness.

I'm sick of franchises I'm NOT interested in getting a new movie every two years (Harry Potter) or even every year (Twilight, Saw), while others take forever and a delay.

The Bond franchise took a crap on it's old every other year schedule...due to the economy or whatever.
