Remember this series?

I've never seen this, but is is Awesome :techman:

Digitize them!!!

EDIT - Doesn't that main bad guy look exactly like the old TNG era Borg?

I think they actually got the idea for the Borgs' appearence from Lord Dread.

Also, as Athena said, at the thought of being digtized, "It's better to die instead!" How many kids shows do you hear someone say that, let alone even aknowledge death....this was refreashing, since we did not have the typical show where you have people bailing out of exploding vehicles or being hit with lasers from machine guns that barely sting you.

Before the series started, they had other actors, and a few additional characters, that got changed at the end....which sucks since this even looked more interesting than what we already got. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUM2o4YDhts Plus I like that blonde who was originally gonna be Pilot (Though she'd make a great replacement for Pilot if a second season was made....she's got nice lips, don't she? :bolian:) and Lord Dread looks VERY creepy in this one.

And also, Larry DeTillio was a writer for the original Masters of the Universe series, and would later go on to be a writer for Beast Wars Transformers, which is my favorite Transformers series.

man, do i remember this show. I had all the toys. Seeing now, it looks little better than Power rangers lol.

ANYTHING'S better than Power Rangers.
~blows his nose in a Kleenex and shows it off~ See what I mean? This is more entertaining, and intelligent, than Power Rangers ever was. :p

Plus Power Rangers toys are JUNK. :p

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the blonde is Lynda Mason Green. She played Suzanne in the "War of the Worlds" tv show.

I was 6 at the time this started and I have no recollection of this show at all. It had to have aired in San Diego, but I don't recall it. :wtf:

How could I have missed such a thing?

Well, now you can catch up, just look up the episodes there and enjoy. :bolian:

The reason it was so good despite being a kids' show was that it was made by J. Michael Straczinski. jms wanted to do something as serious as he could, working within the network-madated parameters of a kids' show, and the marketing department's requirements that there be a laser battle in every episode so they could sell the interactive toys.

Just a slight correction; J. Michael Straczynski was the story editor on the show responsible for plotting out the season and wrote about half of the scripts, but he didn't produce the show.

Thanks for clarifying. I used the generic "made by" 'cause I was never sure what his exact role was. Only that I once heard/read him talking about trying to make it better than justa kids' show.
