Barrowman Confirms TW Series 4

I always wanted to see Barrowman and Tennant talking West lowland Scottish banter to each other.

Nice to see some confirmation, but I can't say I wasn't expecting this. Given the success of Children of Earth and the popularity of Barrowman a renewal was inevitable.

I would almost predict that Jacks appearance in End of Time will be
prior Children of Earth in his own personal Timeline, and possibly before he even met the 9th Doctor.

If they can find some middle ground between S2 and CoE I think S4 could be brilliant!

I agree. A little bit of middle ground would be nice (and I say that as someone who utterly adored CoE).

Glad I made sense. I loved CoE too, but I think if they try to replicate it they'll fail.

By the same token I'm not sure they can go back to fish men driving sports cars either!

Well, supposedly that's how Rose's appearance is going to work, so I wonder if they'd do that same trick twice.

I was really, REALLY hoping that the BBC wouldn't waste more of my license fee on this crap but it doesn't look like that's likely.

They might not be wasting your licence fee on this, they may just be wasting it on coffee, or a few days worth of wages for a runner, or something.

your licence fee paid for...

*checks*

one hour's filming on last night's Eastenders.

Bob's went on....

a camera crew's wages covering Wimbledon.

mine went on...

bog rolls at TVC.

Mine went on paying Emila Fox's wages for 10 minutes work on Merlin...hey a guy can dream!

I'd rather they waste it on this than another costume drama/police series/sitcom/football match/celebrity on holiday masquerading as documentary/house-buying programme/soap opera. But that's just me.

^well it depends. If it came down to it I'd take Spooks over Torchwood and possibly Waking the Dead.

Spooks vs Dr Who...that would be Sophie's choice!

Still grips me, even though they are going over old ground again the whole thing is just so well written and acted and slickly produced that I still love it.

I'm sorry, I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around the idea of any show rivaling Doctor Who as alternative to watch, let alone Spooks. :p
