Best funny/cheesy episode endings?

Emnabtond

Lieutenant
I absolutely love it when an episode has a funny/cheesy last scene. I think TOS has a lot of them but unfortunately TOS is the only Star Trek I'm not fully acquainted with.
Anyhoo, below are three that stand out for me

TNG Phantasms - The infamous episode where Data dreams he is eating Deanna Troi cake. In the final scene when everything has been resolved, Deanna brings him a Data shaped cake for them both to eat :D

VOY Before and After - Surely the best way to end a time travel episode? With a time related pun?
So Kes has been travelling backwards in time the whole episode and when everything is finally resolved she tells the captain she will leave her own beach-resort holodeck party early to fill out a report on a dangerous new enemy "If there's one thing that this experience has taught me captain, its that there's no time like the present!" cue everyone leaning back and laughing in a "that's our Kes!" manner as she runs off. A very warm scene - something I like about early Voyager and something that was unfortunately lost with the departure of Kes :(

TNG Timescape
- Probably one of my favorite final scenes.
Riker walks in to find Data watching a boiling kettle and Data explains that he is trying to see if watching a boiling pot really does make it boil slower. Eventually they decide he should turn off his internal chronometer to really understand more about time. As Riker is leaving he says "Just don't be late for your shift!" and when he's left we see the kettle has boiled, Data looks surprised and raises an inquisitve eyebrow. A very funny little scene.

So share your favourite funny/cheesy/pun-tastic episode endings with me!

I've always loved how many of TOS episodes ended with everyone surrounding Kirk, laughing. Usually at Spock....they'd all just stand there and laugh. It was cheesy corny fun!

"Trouble with Tribbles" was a light hearted episode that ended in humor. They re-did the whole "who threw the first punch?" with "what did you do with the tribbles?" and again no one accepts responsibility until it comes down to Scotty again in the end. I thought that was pretty funny.

For me, the best is at the end of "A Fistful of Datas" when the Enterprise flies off into the sunset. So cheesy, but so awesome at the same time. :D

Especially after horrible things have just transpired on the ship, including, but not necessarily limited to crew members being gruesomely killed.

TNG Schisms(???) - Probably one of my favorite final scenes.

Actually the episode is called Timescape in which the Enterprise and the Romulan ship are stuck in one moment of time, and yes, I agree this a superb scene, which also happens to be striking comment on the episode.

My picks if anyone cares:

A Piece of the Action I love the entire show, but I think Spock's concerns at the end and how Kirk addresses them is top-notch writing and McCoy's confession is downright funny. That is where ENT's The Communicator picked up form, I guess, but that episode, well, was lame.

North Star The sheriff comes in to class to learn about the Wright Brothers

Business As Usual I can't remember if it was the actual last scene or not, but Sisko's "Works for me!" is just so... Sisko!

How about the ending to "The Changeling" when Kirk talks about Nomad "fixing" Scotty and remarking "It thought I was its mother. My son, the doctor."

The quintessential cheesy Trek ending:

aka "Let's Pick on the Minority!" :)

Anyway, I nominate "Lonely Among Us." Despite all the chaos caused by your standard cloud entity and mistaken identity on top of a very important diplomatic meeting between two hostile powers close to war, the episode ends with some quaint music while Yar reports that one of the delegates is missing and might have been turned into a meal for his enemies. And Picard says he needs to go to bed.

Definitely cheesy, definitely one of those moments of "Oh, those funny aliens!", and definitely one for the wartime history books: "Class, how did the Selay/Antican War begin? That's right, with cutesy silly music."

Trials and Tribble-ations. The Promenade is filled with Tribbles, complete with a Tribble on Quark's head just like the bartender in the original episode.

"I'm open to suggestions."
"We could build another space station."
