When my daughter and i watched the movie the other night she said, "Wow, his skin is really bad", and i said, "it isnt bad now, but you can see it was at some point...but i think he is absolutely gorgeous anyway" and her reply was, "OH YEAH, so do i!"
So there ya go. A 16 year old and a 103 year old both love the same man. Chris has done the impossible....brought a daughter back to her mother! LOL!

It was you who pointed out to me that the look we saw on his face was the look of a man who has just seen the one true love of his life....the Enterprise!
And i love the tiny, almost imperceptable smile he does at the very end of that shot.

Randi, I love the light in his eyes that is the Enterprise. That just tears me up about that scene.
WOW, love that pick of Chris Pine!!! He does look much like Captain Kirk doesn't he? He's adorable.

Jeri, down the road, when Spock is choking Kirk, and he is laying with his back on the console...at a certain point, Pine's face almost looks like it's morphed into a young Shatner's face....would you see if you could capture that? I saw it in the theater and again the other night while i was watching it....and it is JUST INCREDIBLE. For me, he looks more like the Shatman at that moment than anywhere else.
It's not in this scene; it's in the next scene, where the academy shuttle lifts off. The shuttle flies right by the starboard nacelle, where we see the following. (They are segueing to Nero in space, so the background gets darker.)
