Chris Pine appreciation thread

I love to read the comments over there. Over the weekend when Princess Diaries 2 aired on the Disney Channel there was a huge thread with almost a play by play of each scene with Chris. It was hilarious.

Some of the pictures they have just make me go "whaaaaaaaaaat"

Edit: I want the one with the Enterprise case...

Boy, i would LOVE IT if one or more of those lucky young ladies popped in and told us all about their meeting!!!!! Tom, many thanks for that picture of the package!! I can now die a happy woman!
The package sincerely appears to be over the legal dimensions; that's a pleasant surprise. And I wish one of those girls would visit here, too!

Wait, he's talked about his own penis before? Where was this, and how do I find it.

Tom, i just gave a quick look but couldn't find it for you. i KNOW Jeri will be able to when she gets here.

OK...I am even more impressed with Chris's great comedic timing and facial expressions. When Sulu tells him that his combat training is "fencing" the look on Chris's face is priceless. His "no problem" on the transporter pad is great. There are more, but the best one EVAH is when Scotty is approaching the Galaxy Quest Chopper Blades---the look of WTF?? on Chris's face is just hysterical! His expression says what everyone in the audience is thinking...sort of a "WTF, COME ON YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING!!!" face. I just LOVE it!

"That stupid spinning fan that's in every episode!" -- Gwen DeMarco.

I'm going to see if I can find those posts, Tom. It's tongue in cheek, though; he's giving advice on how girls should fawn over guys.

Well, today I must go out and buy the plain vanilla DVD, so that I will be able to make screen caps of our favorite captain.

Blu-rays don't play on computers, and the digital version is viewed through iTunes -- not the DVD player program, which has more technical control over the picture. All you can do in iTunes is stop and start it; whereas in the DVD player, you can go frame-by-frame.

Maybe I'll go to Target for it and while I'm there scope out if they have any of the Enterprise special package, where the disc is stored in the saucer section.

Ok, Tom: here is the original which was posted a couple weeks ago at #442:

And just another something funny I found and meant to post yesterday when we were yucking it up over the ontd party thread:

Jeri, you rock! Thanks for finding that article again.

You know, i have been thinking the same thing too (about getting the stripped down dvd)...i'm going to add that to my xmas wish list.

I got ribbed by my husband, pointing out I still have a buck-fifty in my pocket, and I should just hand it to J.J.

We have had this running gag for a couple decades about why Leonard Nimoy did that "Bilbo Baggins" album way back in ancient history.

My husband said it's because they were all standing around, saying "We know they've still got a buck-fifty in their pockets -- how do we get it?!"

Anybody watched the movie with the commentary yet? One of the producers (don't remember which one) pointed out Chris' nose in the scene on Delta Vega where Spock and Kirk talk right before Kirk and Scotty beam down to the Enterprise and the others teased him that he had a crush on Chris' nose. He got teased about it later in the commentary, too. It was really funny. Chris does have a perfect little nose, though, among all the other really lovely facial attributes.

Nice, new av, there, Salvor. I hope to see that on a shirt. What's it from?

It's from a photoshoot a member of TBBS did with Mr Tahir

Guys, new to this board but an absolute fan of Captain Robau and Faran Tahir. I'm a photographer as well and have been peeved that Paramount did those cool low-key headshots of Kirk/Spock for the Star Trek posters but not one of Robau. So when I met Faran Tahir recently for an event in Virginia I _had_ to shoot one of him in character. He is an absolutely cool guy and was a total sport.

Let me know what you guys think.

Here's the link to the gallery of the event

^ Pam, i havent watched that yet. How funny that they should be talking about his nose, just like we have done. Well, ok, what part of him havent we talked about yet???

Anyway, he does have the most perfect nose....and last night i noticed that the young man who plays him as a child (in the car scene) has just about the same exact nose. First time i thought the young man actually resembled Chris.

Those pictures that Trekker56 took are really neat. And you can see how Faran is a shorter statue guy. Personally, i love little men!

Wow, no, that isnt little at all. He looks it next to Hemsworth and also in that group picture on Trekker56's site.
