Hitchhikers, obviously.
As opposed to the original, vastly overbudgeted piece of crap that hemorrhaged viewers and was cancelled after a single season? The version that has remained a punch-line and an exemplar of brain-dead popular culture trash for over thirty years?
Ron Moore elevating BSG into watchable, worthwhile television was the best thing that could have happened to that sorry show - which is why participants from the original who could climb aboard did so like tourists scrambling for lifeboats on the Titanic, and participants who couldn't bitched like little girls in the press.
You mean the version that lost viewers as it went along or the version that'll be remembered?

Nonsense. The original BSG is a largely forgotten show from years ago and viewed as nothing more than cheesy crap by the majority who do remember it. The original is not comparable to Star Wars, Doctor Who, or Star Trek in any way, nor is doing a totally new remake of it the same as the ongoing franchises of any of these. Other than the title, and the names of some characters, there is almost nothing similar.
