Aquiel Unari-The girl and the episode

Just wanted to add that, originally, they had considered making Aquiel the woman that Geordi ended up with in AGTs, but they decided to go with Leah Brahms in the last minute (apparently she divorced her husband or something).

Did they actually mention her full name, though? Maybe Geordi met another woman named Leah. ;)

There could be another Leah...;)

Apparently, there is a Mikaela Leishman who had flirted with Geordi in the novels....so there may be something there as well...

I think the only thing I really remember about this episode was the Dog. It's been quite a while, and this episode doesn't really come up in conversation that much around here. Probably one worth watching again.

I remember reading a behind the scenes book, I believe it's Captain's Log but I have a LOT of Trek Reference books, that the producers intended it to be Leah.

Yeah, I know that it was intended to be Leah Brahms. I'm just saying that they never specifically pointed that out in the episode itself. So there is room for interpretation. (Personally, I appreciate the nod, since both Booby Trap and Galaxy's Child are my favorite Geordi episodes. ;))

This has probably been brought up before, but Christi Henshaw seemed to have been attracted to Geordi when he supposedly gained 'confidence'...and that wasn't followed up on.(Note to writers: Confidence is good, but there is something called 'compatibility' as well!)

Geordi should have gave her the hand, and looked elsewhere...

I'm hoping there is something in the novels to say what happened to these women from Geordi's past.

I thought Sonia Gomez had something for Geordi.

In many ways, poor Geordi was a typical nerd. Brilliant at his work, but socially inept. And to think he had the nerve to mock poor Barclay.

Again when they designed that character they'd planned her to be a love interest for Geordi.

The more women I see that were in Geordi's circle, I think he was just scared of committment.... (Yes, it could have been the 'nerd' in him).

Obviously, the woman has to be an engineer to get his attention initially.

I rewatched Aquiel last night and thought that it really could have been a much better episode than it was. However i was very put off by the Aquiel character herself. She didn't seem "Starfleet material" to me. I also got the impression that she was a little unstable, and at the very least, difficult to work with. This ep is not high on any of my lists.....

I did love the dog though!

I guess this is why I liked her. :D
