Cat Grant Coming to Smallville?

the Justice League Unlimited version

They are different characters but you have to wonder if they'll go that route. Birds of Prey was, according to the producers, connected to Smallville (why they had the injoke about meteor rock in the pilot). Then again I suppose they could keep them as two different characters.

Sorry, rambling (long night).
I have not seen Birds of Prey, however lets face it Smallville has rewritten bigger plot points before this

Some internet sources are saying that actress Emilie Ullerup will be playing Cat Grant. I used to watch her on jPod.

Then, Cat is a ridiculous character, hells she's so forgettable that i assumed that Lois and Clark invented her despite owning thousands of Superman comics.
I thought that was the case as well, but im not even close to owning Superman comics, so my opinon isnt worth much

According to wikipedia, Cat first appeared in the comics in 1987, a good six years before the tv show.

Indeed. Cat Grant was a creation of John Byrne who was added to the Daily Planet cast to create a romantic rival for Lois Lane, but one that only had an interest in Clark not Superman.

I could see that. However, I'm really not feeling like her character on Sanctuary has much hope of making it to even the half time whistle.

Then I will automatically like her a lot more than Lois.

I wonder if we'll get Perry White by seasons end or next year (if there is one).

The CW is combing through the Abercrombie & Fitch catalogs as we speak to find a recast for Perry White. :p

I thought Mr 1940's anachronism was going to be pw before they revealed him to be a cloned brother of Lex.

Now that I think about it, Michael McKean was a series of missed oppurtunities and lost gems from Smallville.

What made it stand out from the other WB/CW series was that while it had your obligatory A&F models as the principals, they were supported by a strong supporting cast of veteran character actors who seemed to elevate the games of the younger castmates. Once they weeded out all the vets and were left with the kids, a lot of the gravitas was lost. Sad really.

Agreed. I don't think anybody will care if they just forget BIRDS OF PREY ever existed . . . .

as ive said ive not seen it, so help me out, what exactly did Birds of Prey do to set itself in the Smallville verse? rather than the larger DC Comics mulitverse (which I assume still exists post crisis)

Nothing, aside from a throwaway reference to meteor rocks in the pilot episode. Some interpret that as "Oh, this is in the same reality as Smallville!," but I saw it as just an in-joke from the producers.

that does not sound like alot, does not seem like anything that could be a problem for Smallville if they wanted to use Huntress.

^Definitely not a problem. Heck, the show's been off the air for years, so there's no reason why Smallville would be bound by its continuity in any case.

the bigger problem that I see, is the question of is the Huntress covered under the Bat embargo, the character does seem to be connected with Batman or Gotham alot of the time.

I think the Bat embargo existed while Birds of Prey was on, which was why they made BoP instead of a Batman show. But that didn't stop them from using Batgirl/Oracle, Huntress, Black Canary, and Harley Quinn.
