Cat Grant Coming to Smallville?

On mania.com there is an article regarding the casting of an Australian actress for the possible role of Catherine "Cat" Grant previously played in Lois and Clark by Tracy "Captain Lochley" Scoggins. This looks like one of the many characters they mentioned would be popping up this year. I think Steve Lombard made an appearence last year, can't remember what episode. I assume it will be a matter of time before Ron Troupe is cast as well. I wonder if we'll get Perry White by seasons end or next year (if there is one).

^Perry White showed up on Smallville way back in the third season, in the episode "Perry." He was played by Michael McKean as a washed-up drunk who'd been fired from the Planet because of Lionel Luthor's machinations and was now a tabloid reporter. He discovered Clark's abilities and regained his confidence and journalistic integrity.

Wonder if it'll be her for real this time. Last time they were bringing in Cat Grant the character became Tori Spelling's Linda Lake.

I'm referring to Perry White taking his rightful place as EIC of the Daily Planet. I know he's been on the series before. I'm hoping that his encounter with Clark set him straight and improved his life enough that he'll show up. I keep thinking that all the rotating EIC's that the Planet has had are only setting this up. Lois and Clark are already working there...but Perry isn't? This is just wrong.

Tori would have been fun as cat.

Then, Cat is a ridiculous character, hells she's so forgettable that i assumed that Lois and Clark invented her despite owning thousands of Superman comics.

Tracy looked about 40 times better in overalls on Babylon 5 than she ever did as a slapper on Lois and Clark.

I read on Kryptonsite that there will be a "Dark Archer" in the episode "Disciple" Everyone thinks it will be Merlyn. Who Know anymore with Smallville.

I'd be fine if it was Merlyn...that'd be my best guess too. Not familar with any other archers in the DCU.

I thought that was the case as well, but im not even close to owning Superman comics, so my opinon isnt worth much

Shado would be great. Arrowette? As a girlfriend for Impulse? Hell, she showed up in impulse's comic first before joining Young Justice.

Clark gives Olly a blood transfusion/Zod experiment on Ollie with splicing kryptonian dna/blood into Oliver: and then he gets thwacked with black Kryptonite?

Earth II?

According to wikipedia, Cat first appeared in the comics in 1987, a good six years before the tv show.

I remember the character of Cat Grant on Lois & Clark. She was OK. In a very early ep, it looked like Clark and Cat had gotten together (they hadn't), but it led Perry (who was a crusty Southern editor in that show, a change I liked) to counsel Clark. He basically said to be careful who he hooked up and used the example of Colonel Tom Parker breaking up an early relationship Elvis had. He then said, "Now, son, if you want to be the King, you better listen to the Colonel. Do you get my meaning?" -- RR

the Justice League Unlimited version

They are different characters but you have to wonder if they'll go that route. Birds of Prey was, according to the producers, connected to Smallville (why they had the injoke about meteor rock in the pilot). Then again I suppose they could keep them as two different characters.

Sorry, rambling (long night).
