Cat Grant Coming to Smallville?

Even if BoP continued, it is very doubtful that that show and Smallville would take place in the same continuity. The large plot point that sets them apart is that, in Smallville, the implication is that costumed superheroes and villains are a relatively new thing, where as BoP had a very active Batman years before the start of the series.

Of course, given some spoilers for future episodes of Smallville, this implication might be changed.

Birds of Prey was set 20 years after the the batman retired, meanwhile the first Smallville could possibly have been set 20 years before the batman bared down against the Redhood.

Although the "present" in both shows does seem to have same Now-y flavour.

Black Canary was in costume in both shows, played by different actresses, but when has that ever stopped a continuity whore from beating a drum.

Precrisis Earth II she was about as unmixed as you'd think the Child of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle might be, but post zero hour Catwoman is an illegitimate child of one of the mobsters( Falcone I think? it was in the When in Rome prestige mini series.) which makes the rereading of Long Halloween "different".

I remember reading an interview Kelly Souders did - I believe it was on Kryptonsite - where she said she intended for Black Canary to be the same one as appeared in Birds of Prey only younger.

Even though Ollie is pointing his penis in every direction these days on Smallville but Black canary, not that she isn't busy right now on the Destiny in a galaxy far far away.
