Toy Story 3 trailer released

After an 11-year gap, Pixar returns to the franchise that started it all.

I was eight when I saw the first one of these, twelve with 2 (which remains my sentimental favourite Pixar film) - by the time 3 comes out, I'll be (hopefully) starting work on my PhD. You and me, Andy, we've come a long way.

Nice to see the whole gang again (though, too bad, Woody, doesn't look like Bo Peep ended up in the same place as you).

Me too. Looks interesting though. It'll be tough to top Toy Story 2 but I have faith in the fine folks at Pixar (even though I wasn't very impressed with Cars, Up, or Wall-E). Spanish Buzz Lightyear seems fun.

I need to see more to know if I want to see it in theaters or not, but I'll definitely see it at some point.

Looks good. Interesting that after such a gap that Andy keeps his toys still in his room -by the time I was in middle school mine were all in the garage- and are in anything aproaching a playable condition.

That looks pretty good. I'll be interested in seeing how much actual talking 'Slinky-Dog' does in the movie -- with Jim Varney having passed on in the interim.

Cheers,
-CM-

YAY! I'm dl'ing it from Movie List right now. Can't wait to see it, seeing as how they only played the old teaser trailer when I went to the 3D double feature... :(

Toy Story in 3D was AWESOME. Toy Story 2 in 3D was... MAGNIFICENT.

So, Toy Story 3 should be a masterpiece.

Really? I still have toys in my old room at my parents' house.

From what I read they got one of Jim Varney's friends to take over the role and he sounds nearly exactly like him.

I hate to nitpick, but if all these years have passed, then why are all of the toy's paint jobs still pristine. Years of use and the cruel passage of time, will make any toy's paint chip, scuff, and peel.

Andy took good care of his toys, apparently.

Andy took good care of them!

Or maybe they took good care of themselves and Andy didn't catch on.

It's going to be weird hearing Slinky Dog with a different voice persay.

But oh God! Hamm is so great.

"Return of the Astro-Nut..."

This looks wonderful IMO. I love the dynamics of the voices.
