Looks or Personality?

Relationships have to be about the person on the inside. If you have a connection with the other person, nothing about there outward appearance should make any difference.

Looks are fleeting... someone who is beautiful physically one day can lose those looks in a moment or over the course of years.

What I find in my experience is that those who put looks first when considering others often don't have much inside themselves to offer anyways. Shallow people gravitate towards shallow people. I imagine that that is the nature of things, always has been and always will be. :wtf:

I look for both but I'm not particularly demanding in the appearance department. I'm pretty flexible on body type but I at least need a pretty face to look at. Ultimately I'm looking for an intelligent but modest person who laughs at some of my jokes.

Sorry, ladies, but personality just ain't what gets it up, y'know?

Ugh, you're so shallow.

What if he keeps the hair of David Tennant in a jar by the door?

That's unacceptable. If he had formed an altar around it, I would reconsider.

That's true, but personality changes over time too. People can turn into jerks, or at least have negative aspects of their personality manifest themselves with increasing frequency.

I think we left out a choice here though. The question should be "looks, personality, or money?"

Please let personality win please let personality win please let personality win

Looks. It's all about the looks. I'd date a guy who was a complete jerk if he had the hair of David Tennant or Joe Flanigan.

Hear, hear! If not the hair of David Tennant, then at least his natural accent. I don't care what he is saying to me as long as he's talking. Both would be complete perfection.

^ The poor men with all their completely irrelevant personalities. :(
Maybe they can take Scottish accent classes!

I've been trying to suppress my apparent Scottish accent (which took me 20 years to develop) in the last 5 years, just so that I can be the only person in my family who doesn't sound Scottish. :) I think it's worked, but everyone else thinks it's still there. :(

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Seriously. Be a sheep, man! Be like everyone else! Be Scottish!
You know, I'm seriously tempted to change my accent again and become Northern Irish. ;) Many of my friends at Uni were Northern Irish. :bolian:

Actually, the older ladies at work seem to notice the Scottish accent in my voice more noticeably than the younger ladies. I think it's a sign. :D

Actually, I find I pick up accents quickly and they stick for longer too. When on holiday with cousins in Essex back when I was 11, I came back home to find I had developed a very strong Received Pronunciation accent which shocked even me. I think I should change my breakfast show station - Nicky Campbell seems to have a grip on my accent at the mo... :scream:
