sci-fi/fantasy character with the most screen time

Extrocomp

Fleet Captain

Which sci-fi/fantasy character played by a single actor has appeared in the greatest number of episodes and movies? Is it Worf, who appeared in 7 seasons of TNG, 4 seasons of DSN and 4 movies?

Barnabas Collins got a lot of screen time appearing in two movies and being on tv screens 5 times a week for 4 and a half years straight (he didn't appear until 6 months into the Dark Shadows' run). Worf was only on once a week during the regular tv season. Barney was on year round.

I think Dracula has had a hell of a lot (er...no pun intended) screen time. Wiki says over 160 films feature the character of Dracula in a major role, second only to Sherlock Holmes. That's a lot of screen time.

On the TV side of things, I'm guessing The Doctor (in his many incarnations) has had the most screen time. I would think the sheer number of years should put him at the top.

Same actor, then it's definitely Jonathan Frid as Barnabas Collins. 5 times a week 365 days a year for 4 and a half years plus two feature films.

For the women it might be Gillian Anderson as Scully (10 years and two movies.) She must be up amongst them. Rethinking that Amanda Tapping has done more than that as Sam Carter (10 years of SG1, 1 of Atlantis and two TV movies.)

Actually, Barnabas did not appear in the second DARK SHADOWS movie. So that's four and a half years plus one movie.

He's probably still the winner, though.

Christopher Judge (Teal'c) was in every single episode of Stargate SG-1, several Atlantis episodes, and both Direct to DVD movies.

Kevin Conroy has voiced Bruce Wayne/Batman in a whopping 223 animated TV episodes, as well as several video games, a theatrical animated film, and five DVD movies.

Barnabas wasn't in the second movie? Really? Oh well, it's only been about 38 years. A memory or two could fade in that time.

The first movie was about Barnabas.

The second movie was about Quentin.

And, yeah, that was a long time ago . . . . :)
