Chris Pine appreciation thread

Yes, i noticed them too. No big hairy hands here. And a ring. And a bracelet. I just LOVE the hair short. And his nose. I love his nose!
*splashes glass of cold water on face*
Do you suppose there is any chance....any chance at all...that he might have a fetish for older women?????

Wow, he does have a nice nose; completely regular. What'shisname on Lost likes older women.

Do you suppose there is any chance that he is gay?

Jeri, If you're talking about Hugo i'll kill myself.
No, no. Naveen Andrews. From IMDb: "At the age of 16 he caused a stir by moving in with his teacher, Geraldine Feakins." He lived with Barbara Hershey, 21 years his senior, at one time. (He may still be; I haven't kept up.) Also, something interesting: he has one child, a son, from a former girlfriend -- and he has sole custody of the boy. A quote from Esquire: "Older women know who they are, and that makes them more beautiful than younger ones. I like to see a face with some character. I want to see lines. I want to see wrinkles." (Esquire, July 2007).

^ Jeri. Ooohhhh how wonderful! i love it! (Did you ever see the English Patient? Naveen is in it....he has looooong hair...positively dreamy. (did i really just say dreamy?)

Bri, part of me wishes he were gay. Then i'd feel less frustrated -- as an old married woman i'm frustrated knowing i can never have him. (well, unless he knocks on my door looking for me. Then all bets are off)

Here's to wishing.

Seriously, if he showed up at my door, I wouldn't ask why he was there, I'd just grab him. :rommie:

I did; that's the first thing I ever saw him in. He and the character were both wonderful! He really does seem like an interesting guy. Later on I saw him on a movie channel in "Kama Sutra..." where he played the bad guy, but looked amazing. This is from another movie, where he plays a medieval Catholic priest; haven't seen that movie. I just thought he looked mischievous in this shot.

Nice pic! Have you ever heard him speak without the accent he uses in Lost (and English Patient)....he has a very cockney accent. Its adorable and so unexpected.

Okay...ordinarily, I'd say that posting photos of/discussion of other stars is OT in this thread...but since it's Naveen Andrews we are talking about here, I'll use my 'Mod's Discretionary Power' and let it go (as long as it doesn't get too far out of hand). :D

Whoa BABY!!!!!

I started watching LOST because of him - loved him in The English Patient. Sayid is still my favorite LOST character too....although that is both because of Naveen Andrews and because of the writing for the character.

Love the Chuck Norris of LOST. :D

Ah, benevolent tyrant, I see.

Okay, one last Naveen Andrews recommendation, then I'll say something on topic. Have you ever seen him in Bride & Prejudice? It's a Westernized Bollywood musical based on the Pride & Prejudice story (he plays the Bingley character, in effect), and he dances and is just generally very appealing. I highly recommend it.

Okay, back on topic: Beside the fact that Chris's eyes are SO blue in that last photo, I love that you can see the lines in his forehead. He's young (well, to me), but he's definitely starting to get some character in his face. Too bad women in Hollywood aren't "allowed" to do the same thing (for the most part).

Havent seen that movie but will definitely look for it. Thanks for the suggestion.

i hear ya on the forehead lines....a trace of...character. So pretty.
*puffs furiously on imaginary cigarette*
the nose! The nose is perfect. i've never seen such a perfect nose. and in this lovely pic...the jaw line kills me. that chin!

Pic for today. GAH!!!!

*dies*

And to think that when I first heard of this movie being on the drawing board years ago, I was against it... Oh how glad I am to have been wrong back then...

^ You and me both, brother! Up until a week or so before the release date i was swearing that i wouldn't go see it.

Pic for today.
Is there something i don't know about ties? I mean, are they supposed to be this short? Is this a new trend? Or does Chris need help getting dressed in the morning?
If he does, i'm volunteering!

003406627809.jpg

well, i don't care what he is dressed in. This face and that smile! OY!

His tie is a little short. The tip of a tie is *supposed* to touch the center of the belt buckle. And you're supposed to wear a belt with dress pants, even if you don't need them. If you don't have a tie that reaches the center of the belt buckle, you're supposed to leave the jacket buttoned. Throw this situation in with the scarf from a page or so ago and he clearly needs help dressing. I volunteer to help too! :D

I think i find him even more endearing seeing him in this outfit. ugh. im positively pathetic when it comes to Chris!

TOM, For your own health and safety i suggest you stick with Cooper Cronk...Chris is MINE!!!!!!
