10 random tracks on your media player

Well I haven't read this whole thread, but from what I have seen, clearly my musical tastes are not in step with the majority of this board. This should be rather amusing. So I'm pressing shuffle on my Iphone and here's what I get:

1) Independence Day, Martina McBride
2) Branded Man, Merle Haggard
3) As Soon as I Hang up the Phone, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn
4) Wide Open Road, Johnny Cash (original Sun recording)
5) Personal Jesus, Johnny Cash
6) High Noon, Frankie Lane
7) Take it Easy, The Eagles
8) The Walls of a Prison, Johnny Cash
9) Uncle Pen, Bill Monroe
10) My Give a Damn's Busted, Jo Dee Messina

gh4chiefs, you are not alone. There are at least two other people who have posted in this thread with predominantly country lists.

Another round through:

Beautiful Day, U2
Love So Loud, Ever Stays Red
Do You Wanna Date My Avatar, Felicia Day & The Guild
Holiest of Thieves, The Myriad
Gone, Switchfoot
Here Is the News, Brave Saint Saturn
Oh Canada, Five Iron Frenzy
Give em Hell, Hearts of Palm
We Build Then We Break, The Fray
Nobody Loves No One, House of Heroes

Yeah I've seen a few since I posted that. I was kind of surpised at how tame what came up randomly on my Iphone was though, it could have been a lot more "hardcore" (aka REALLY OLD stuff) like Roy Acuff, Little Jimmy Dickens, Carter Family, or the Hee Haw Gospel Quartet.

Like I said, I have unique tastes for someone less than 100 years old.

Apparently my top 10 artists by way of number of tracks is:

1. Nine Inch Nails (248)
2. Depeche Mode (203)
3. Porcupine Tree (182)
4. In Flames (173)

7. Incubus (107)
8. Muse (105)
9. Soulfly and Black Sabbath (103)
10. Led Zeppelin (99)

Number of tracks is a bit unfair since there are artists who simply don't have as many albums (Nirvana, for example). But, anyway, here's mine:

Pearl Jam (112)

That's true of course, but equally by the time I have singles, bootlegs and rarities everyone has a few fair shot. For instance, I have all 8 Led Zep albums, plus Coda and the 3-disc live album, but due to rarities and b-sides I have significantly more music by SOAD, who only actually have 5 albums.

Another run:

Black Sabbath - Wicked World/Supernaut/Jam [Live] (from Past Lives)
System of a Down - Snowblind/Dam [Live] (Bootleg, London 1999)
