Ted Kennedy Has Died- Be Respectful

Apparently Mr. B has never seen Fight Club.

My mom is going to heartbroken. She was a supporter of the whole Kennedy family.

Not shocking at all, he looked horrible.

Maybe now Obama won't pussy out of health care reform.

Also Biden talked about how Kennedy was there for him after his wife and a child died in a car crash... yeah... not a good idea there Biden.

I never voted for him, protest vote, but he did a lot of damn work, and we really needed him now for health care.
To be fair to Joe, it probably meant the world to him and the man doesn't think before opening his mouth.

Exactly. It's actually quite touching, and there's not a reason in the world that Biden shouldn't recall it on an occasion like this.

It isn't as if the small-minded aren't itching to go there, anyway.

Oh I know, and that time he didn't have to think, it was a tragedy, but it's just one of those little ironic things in life.

I watched Fox "News" for about 10 minutes, no one there cares at all, they rather report of the democrats being mean to the town hall wackos. I guess that's the station you watch if you care more about a singer instead of one of the most powerful people in the last 50 years.

But I'm glad you didn't suffer in your last year by having the resources to great healthcare.

That's not even a competently constructed, intelligible English sentence.

I guess [FOX is] the station you watch if you care more about a singer instead of one of the most powerful people in the last 50 years.

Actually, if you care about nothing on the planet except Michael Jackson you stick with CNN or Headline News after 9:00 PM. I was almost surprised that they broke into the A.M. reruns of the day's JackoPalooza to start covering Teddy's passing.

The more I see these crazy right wing wackos talking the more I think death panels and funded abortions looks like a good idea.

If you don't like Ted please don't post in here. This is neither the time nor the place for that. I was sad to see the other thread get locked so let's set a rule in this one: no bashing Kennedy.
Pot, meet kettle.

Warning for bringing TNZ posts out of TNZ, comments to PM

A not so gentle reminder to everybody else:

If you can't say anything nice, or at least respectful, about the man, don't say it in this thread.

This thread is also not the place for an extended health care debate or debate on any other policy.

If you see another poster not able to follow these profoundly simple guidelines, use the NM button and don't engage them or call out what you perceive their violation to be in the thread.

Regardless of whether you agreed or not with the late senator's politics or what you perceive to be his character take a look at the coverage of his death. People who were his staunchest rivals are expressing their condolences and sorrow with grace and class, is it too much to expect a little of that here?

With all the stories of his health over the past year, this comes as no surprise, but it's too sad to hear. Now all four brothers are gone.

Not being American, I can't say I was overly familiar with the man. Obviously, I know about the Kennedy family, but I've never really followed the lives and careers of its members.

So I decided to do some quick research on Ted Kennedy -- damn. This is a shame. He certainly wasn't a perfect man by any stretch of the word, but it seems like he was a politician I could've gotten behind.

Rest in peace, Senator Kennedy.

I hope you will keep this in mind when a prominent Republican dies rather than allow the standard liberal bashers a free pass as usual on this forum. No more double standards.
