WHAT effect in II is in need of changing, IYO?To be fair, the special f/x for STII would need to be updated using the latest technology in order to make a proper comparison.

Maybe I'm goin' blind, but they all look magnificent to me.

Star Trek II shits on Star Trek XI from a great height.

Nope, no such rule, but the personal pokes back and forth among several people can stop any time.<snip>
Show me the forum rule where it states that one can only post positive comments about the movie.
No such thing? ... thought so.
I don't think I'd go quite that far.Star Trek II shits on Star Trek XI from a great height.
As has been pointed out, it might be a little soon to measure the new movie with complete objectivity against the earlier outings, but remember that not everyone holds an equally high opinion of The Wrath of Khan. Khan in particular I find a bit overly cartoonish when placed next to the Khan of "Space Seed", but that's just my opinion.

That's debatable, but at least Khan's motivation for revenge made sense whereas Nero's quest against Spock and the Federation was just plain stupid.
It had spaceships and explosions.I'm still in the dark. What made Star Trek XI good again?

Apparently that's enough.
If the people who like the movie keep their noses to the ground, gravity is pretty much going to take care of the 'shit from great height' thing automatically ... unless they get their heads out of the way before it plops on down.LOL I like how uptight everyone gets whenever somebody mentions that they didn't like Trek XI as much as they did.Aren't you lucky that you can always turn to your DVDs or whatever.
I guess no one likes to be shit upon from a great height, huh?

Is that comment evidence that people are blinded by the shiny new FX? Even if someone redid the visual effects of TWOK, why would that change the quality of the movie?
I don't know why people think that Khan was such a great villain. You know, I don't know why people think Nero was such a bad villian.
So anyone who didn't like film is automatically pissing on others' opinions?I voted for Star Trek 2009... mainly to piss off the haters in the crowd. They so enjoy pissing on others opinions
