Star Trek XI Vs. Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan - simple poll

That was kind of a tricky question for me, but I chosed the new movie. I love both films so it was kind of hard to pick between the two. Thats I picked the movie in the way I like them. As Star Trek XI is my first favorite along with The Voyage Home, thats why I picked the new movie.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE NuTrek, but for me, TWOK really is just TOO good to be beat by almost anything else.

STXI was a good reboot, but it's still got to grow up a lot.

I loved, loved, loved ST XI, but TWOK still seems a better film. Pluses are a more coherent story line, better written, and with the original cast. Great moments, emotional appeal. NuTrek is great and fun, but TWOK is a classic IMHO.

Another vote for TWOK here. I just find it to be the superior film with the superior revenge plot.

I voted for TWOK as well. As good as XI is, it's a close call, but I still find TWOK to be so much fun after all these years.

The acting was excellent (even from the supporting cast), much of the dialogue and editing were fun, but the cgi was too reminiscent of what was bad about the Star Wars prequels (eg the bigger fish scene, and the nonsensical spaceships - and should I even mention the latest incarnation of the Enterprise with nacelles suggesting someone's overcompensating for something?).

STXI was a thoroughly enjoyable movie despite the lousy fx, but no contest to TWOK.

Yeah, Insurrection's FX was rather lousy, I agree.
