RE: Broccoli, who seemed to have similar concerns as I did on 2015.
I didn't have any concerns with 2015. That was Mr. Laser Beam.
Oh, and and here's something else I didn't like about Part III:
"Marty, I'd really like to tell you what happens to you in the future that ruins your entire life, but I can't do that. We must all make decisions that effect our lives; everyone has to do the things they were meant to do. Well, everyone except for you kids."
Huh?![]()
At the end of Part 1 and in the first act of Part 2 much time and energy is spent ensuring that Marty's kids do not ruin their lives (Marty, Jr. by going on the robbery, Marlene by trying to break out Marty, Jr.) Dco is very insisitant that they rush off to 2015 right away to save his kids even though they have 30 years to prepare for it and a time-machine that can travel to any moment in time. (Well, anytime between the year 1 and the year 9999

Marty, however, can ruin his by crashing into that Rolls Royce as Doc pretty defiantly, and obviously, refuses to tell Marty this piece of information that causes Marty to loose his confidnce and to give up on his music (though the notion he would become a rock-star is silly and, frankly, not the future I'd want to see Marty have. But rather see the guitar as a symbol of his talent, creativity, and drive to do things) and become a push-over office drone.
Granted, the accident with the Rolls didn't necessairly "ruin" Marty's life in the same way that Marty, Jr. and Marlene ruin theirs, but it seems that if Doc is willing to alter Marty's kids' futures he should at least tell Marty not to go racing douches named "Needles" anytime soon.
