I liked Wicked last year and got chills walking out post Defying Gravity, and I think Wicked for Good is my most anticipated movie of the fall. I hope it lives up to the first part, but if not, the songs that I've heard so far sure do.

I also say that having never seen the play.

I loved it too (and I saw the play). And I was thrilled that they offered it in english, german but songs in english, german with songs in german. (this is the version I saw).

They even have the original german Elphaba as the dub voice and they took great care with the german lyrics. Whenever possible they used the ones from the stage version, only changing lines where lip movements wouldn´t fit. It shows that a full dub of a musical movie can work if done with care.

As a negative example: The dub of "Phantom Of The Opera" is subpar...
