Genesis II, Planet Earth, The Questor Tapes...
1) Who's seen them?
2) what did you think?
3) When the heck are they ever gonna be on DVD?!?!?!?!:wtf:

1.) I haven't.
2.) What I've read about them has seemed pretty interesting.
3.) Right...now! No, now! No...wait...wait...for it...wait...now! No? Damn it...

Haven't seen 'em. But now i have to google them to see what i have been missing.

The more important question for me is, "WHEN WILL THEY PUT MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE ON DVD?????????" (insert every fracken expletive you can think of here)

LOLing at 'kids'. i suspect i am old enough to be your mother! I do remember the titles, and it is entirely possible that i did see them. Im just so brain dead now that i may not remember......

I liked Genesis II. Haven't found a copy of Questor but still looking. Loved the first season of Earth:Final Conflict but gave up when Boone left.

I remember the Christopher Lambert one, but i suspect that was not the original.
(i'm 52, 53 in nov.)

but....young. i feel young. (especially after seeing NuTrek. i swear, i lost 10 years at each viewing. nothing has had that kind of effect on me,...ever).

I liked Genesis II.
Did you see when Gene re-made it with John Saxon as "Planet Earth"? It was textbook "Cage" vs. "Where No Man Has Gone Before" syndrome.;)

It's so cool to see some of Data's character origins in Questor.:techman:

Actually, that wasn't Gene, just junk based loosely on his notes, as I understand it.

It was.

Old enough to be my sister, at any rate.

Trek fans tend to be physically 10 years younger than their chronological age- I think it's the chronoton particles...

1) Me

2) Liked QT. GII and PE are the same show slightly tweaked. Like the one with John Saxon better.

3) Good question

The best of GR other kids was Spectre.

Holy crap, I must have blanked there! Thanks- that was great too! 1977, Robert Culp! I think I was remembering "Baffled!" & thinking it wasn't Roddenberry, just Nimoy, and "Spectre" went right outta my head!

I've enjoyed QUESTOR every time I watched it, but I also think that it would never have gotten better than that first pilot.

Reason1 - the most interesting character was the antagonist, who would definitely not be back intact.

Reason2 - Gene Coon did the rewrite they shot, or something close to it. I'm thinking that antagonist is mostly Coon's work. Coon was dead before they shot anything, so again, all downhill after that.

GII was kinda slow, PE was fun (made me think Saxon might have been an okay Kirk), but none of them really knock me out, SPECTRE included, though Culp and Young is awesome casting.

I loved Spectre. It freaked me out when I first saw it as a kid many moons ago. I recorded it when the Sci-Fi Channel aired it several years ago, and it holds up very well. Too bad this never went to a series.

The pilot was awesome, but I felt it worked much better as a stand alone movie than a continuing series.:techman:

But gorram fascinating, IMO!

Except for Star Wars & Enter The Dragon it was the most pure movie/TV entertainment fun I had all decade!:techman:
