I was in Charleston, SC a couple of weeks ago and was looking for a place to eat.
I saw one place but for some reason it looked dangerous.
Ended up eating at Hyman's Seafood, at a favorite table.

You know what? I placed an order for a "Deluxe" blue Medical/Science Starfleet uniform from the new movie. They shipped me the cheapo version.
I'm not going to bother to return it. It cost about $40.99 plus shipping.
The only reason I know I have the deluxe version is that it says so on the label. After seeing pics online, I opted to buy it in person and didn't care what I'd get. Though whats on the packaging and whats inside it are two different things altogether.
I hated the silver braids so replaced them with white ribbon, cut off the neck piece and added blue ribbon for shoulder/collar detail (unfortunately my hand stitching is not up to scratch). It made me a little happier with it.
You did a nice job, though. I figure I'm not going to spend any more money on Halloween costumes this year. It's "back to basics" for me. The past couple of years, I didn't do any sci-fi/fantasy theme (a priest outfit in 2007 and medical scrubs in 2008), so this year I want to try something Trekkish.

Thanks! There's a circular riverside walk just around the corner and I took a few more pics there too. I was trying to catch the effect of the light on the water, which was tricky, but the second pic is not bad.
And from the gardens on the other side of the road (yes, it was a long lunch break today...

Nature and I are ... incompatible. The last time I sat in the grass for an hour on the lawn near the Capitol, I ended up unable to work for two weeks and barely managed to stay out of the hospital.
Also DH, you're completely melting my heart over here! She's wonderful, and snuggly, and perfect.
... and now my husband's going to hate you for making me go all "babies!" again.
