Nowhere Man
Commodore
This is a bad idea, NUBSG was the most dramatic and perhaps the best tv. series i've seen. Bryan Singer needs to stop making movies period. After SR I lost all faith in him.
Actually, they were cyborgs. The original Cylons were some manner of humanoid reptiles, but they started upgrading themselves, and eventually, there were either none or very few of the originals left. The silver Cylons had one brain, gold Cylon commanders had two, ship commanders like Lucifer had three, and the Imperious Leader had four.
Which reminds me - the new movie had better have Lucifer!
Meh, I don't really care one way or another, but the timing seems odd. Hey, let's go remake an old series that is still in the process of being remade by a different group!!
Actually it's a pretty safe bet that if this movie gets made, you won't like it at all.So we're finally going to get a good BSG for the first time in 30 years, huh?
I say, bring it on!
Well, do we know that The Plan is going to be the last movie done for the series as well? Even if nuBSG is over with The Plan, my point still stands.... Hey, let's go remake an old series that just finished getting remade!Meh, I don't really care one way or another, but the timing seems odd. nuBSG is over now. There will be no continuation. Yeah you have Caprica but that will be a shadow of the original show. One I dont plan to watch. Nubsg ended badly and there will never be a continuation, so there is more than enough room for a new one.
I have to admit, that'd be an interesting angle to take -- especially if you tie it into the rest of the fleet somehow, giving a different perspective on what was taking place beyond the Galactica-centric stories.I want to see Tom Zarek's history.
^ Like what, though? Can you think of an in-series segment that would be worth exploring in a TV film?
I suppose they could always redo the lost time on New Caprica ... but those events are re-hashed on "Unfinished Business" and Baltar's Trial. And I don't think anything during Season 4 really needs to be explored more. As it is, it felt like the series spent too much time on too little. I just don't know where material for another movie might come from.
