I have worked for a supermarket in scotland for 5 years now and I only have 2 days on my contract so that means i'm only obligated to do 2 days a week.
I declined a shift on wednesday due to that not being my contract day and me having plans only to be met with the knowledge that since i'm declining this shift that i've to get no more overtime or cover shifts ever. Bear in mind that I graduated a year ago and have been jobhunting so in this meantime the overtime is pretty much what sustains me.
Can they do this? Or am I right to feel victimised?
