That's good. It's nice that Vick is going to a relatively sedate environment where the fans won't be too judgmental of him.
Sedate environment? Where? In Philly? They're the harshest, most judgmental fans in the country. They boo Santa Claus!
RAMA

It would have been better if he had signed with the Cleveland Browns. They have a dog pound, after all.
But then Art Modell wouldn't be the most hated man in Cleveland anymore, would he?![]()
I don't fault Vick for wanting to redeem himself and I think he should get a shot somewhere,
I posted it in the main NFL thread, but I'll say here what I said there: if the NFL can allow Vick to resume his career, then it's past time for MLB to induct Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame.
Agreed.
Betting on games is hardly on the level of abusing dogs and making them fight to the bloody death. If Vick gets another chance, so should Rose.
There has been a few players that have killed people (hockey, MLB, NFL...NBA) or injured other people in stupid things and yet they get to play and have a normal life.
What about Shoeless Joe Jackson and the Black Sox?
What about Shoeless Joe Jackson and the Black Sox?
They cheated. They threw the game. Pete Rose never did that.
And they shouldn't have gotten a chance to play again either. I've asked this question over and over and have yet to receive an answer. It's not rhetorical?
When did playing in the NFL become a "right" instead of a privilege?

If Vick's still got it, why the hell not? If I liked the Eagles I would probably be happy about this.
Who knows? Maybe Vick will actually fit in with the Santa Claus-booing, battery throwing fans in Philly.![]()

Me too, but I was thinking Burger King.

This right here is why the Eagles signed him. If he helps Philly to a win, all will be forgiven/ forgotten by the average fan.
Why is one profession OK, but another not?
Roger Wilco, I hope you're kidding that you'd be happy if you were an Eagles fan. That's pretty scary.
