Totally agree, since Stargate these days is essentially all about self-parody, the Canadian woods line makes perfect sense. And it's clever and works as a forum description. Oh and it actually represents ALL of Stargate.

The Enterprise line is just lame, potentially confusing and, well, not actually that funny any more, 7 years later. As bigdaddy says, a solitary line from an episode years ago, to describe all of Stargate??

Obviously the latter will win now, and there are far more important things in life to worry about. I just find it strange that most people prefer that option.

I would vote for "Keep current description" only if it actually changes to "Keep current description."

True, but it's a joke the series made itself, in the third season I think?

I voted for the reproductive organs line, but I see it's getting no love. Guess the producers edited that one right out of everyone's memories as well as in the Final Cut.

I voted for the Enterprise one because it has forum in it

Actually, I think it was the Sir that did it.

We're not describing Stargate. We're describing the forum...or describing what the forum isn't.

I still think the line is funny, and it seems that other people do too.

"Describing what the forum isn't"? - riiiight, that makes perfect sense.

"We can't call it the Enterprise forum"? - Well no, because, erm, it's a Stargate forum.

Wow, that's so clever and hilarious. I can't stop laughing at it's genius, suitability and just general awesomeness.

After seeing that it annoys so much, I wish I voted for the ENT line ;) looks like it will win anyway.

Ouch! Forgotten already? You were just down ther
The "Enterprise" thing has almost become a running gag in the franchise. Col. Sheppard said almost the exact same thing to Dr. McKay when they discovered the Orion back in the 2nd season of Atlantis.

A couple other lines from the series that I'm now thinking would also be nice descriptions (or at least they're some of my favorite lines):

    "We can name it later."

"At least my heroes really exist."

    "Sure. Why not?

A running gag? It was one line, in one episode of SG-1. A line that a good chunk of Stargate fans probably don't even remember. It was funny at the time, for a few seconds, the first time we heard it. Not 8 or 9 years later as a forum description.

So which episode was the "Enterprise" line in? I'm curious... I remember something similar, but not when it occurred.

Besides, do we really want to invoke comparisons to the other "Enterprise" forum on this site? Might be good to verify that SGU is actually *better* than another show before inviting comparisons. ;)

Not a big poster here in the SG forum, but I voted for the "not the Enterprise" option because it seems to ruffle the most feathers. :p
