ok that confirms it, Breakfast just said (something like) "first look at Matt Smith as the regenerated Time Lord" which is a long way of saying "the first picture of the 11th Doctor in costume"

Couldn't that also be read as "he just regenerated, so he's still in Tennant's costume"?

I admit, this is exciting! I wouldn't mind seeing him in his new costume or in David Tenant's old costume.

Now, that said, given what we've seen of Matt Smith's personal dress sense, I can only hope and pray he has precious little input into his costume; otherwise, we may have a disaster of Colin Baker proportions.

yes it feels very safe, and doesn't have any "Doctorish" touches to it, he really would be in danger of blending into the background.

As for Amy Pond, I dont think that is her outfit, and if it does it will change, loose the jumper maybe.

Docs...He's practical. The Doctor does a lot of running about in all kinds of places.

Bow tie: He's a tad uptight, and he's sophisticated.

Well manicured too. Note the hair as well as the rest of the suit. He's a modern Pertwee figure.

All in all, not bad. I'm actually a bit surprised.

Kind of thought they'd have a more flashy photo, like the early Tennant ones. Then again, different producer, less spectacle. I suppose.


He kind of has a 'college professor' look IMO. Sort of like Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones in the "Doctor Jones" persona.
