New "Waters Of Mars" Preview Clip!

You beat me to it, I was going to make the point that these guys posessed on mars do seem rather repilian!

Looks good anyway-Still no news on when it's going to air though, unless I missed an anouncement!

I wonder....Man goes to Mars to terraform Mars....but the water contains life...and this life terraforms Man...the Ice Warriors beginning?

Murray Gold and RTD are exactly alike: Utter genius with no self-control. I would love someone new for music on DW.

The sense I get is not so much that they have no self-control as that they deliberately choose (with some exceptions) to go over-the-top, to exaggerate, for Doctor Who. It's obviously not a style that goes over well with everyone, but it works well enough for me.

I have to say, though, I'd be much sorrier to see Gold go than even Davies. I adore Gold's work.

If the rest of the episode has that vibe to it then color me excited! The last two specials were fairly average, for me anyway, so this looks like it might be a nice change of pace.

And if "Ice Warriors" are name-dropped I'll have a geekgasm.

"His most strong-willed companion yet". Maybe I'm just in a pissy mood, but that pissed me off. Anyway, I thought the clip looked good. :)

We do seem to be increasing in bitchiness as the new series goes on, from 'yes doctor, no doctor, you're such a wonderful sexy macho space alien doctor' to 'fuck off, man who knows almost everything about space travel and alien worlds, I know better form my comp education what we need to do here'.
In DW, 'strong willed companion' usually means 'won't fall in love with Tennant'. ;)

By the way, why do the new aliens in WoM have make up that makes them looked all chapped and dehydrated, and yet they are covered in water and sweating?

Yeah, none of the companions so far have exactly been weak willed. The first 2 may have been doting but not weak willed.
