Highlights- weasly minister saying you and what army and Lois saying torchwood, the looks on their faces...closely followed by the realisation that Torchwood are in way over their heads. The conversation around the table was truly chilling, especially them talking about units rather than children...and the 456 made a good point about a child dying every three seconds. Jack's resolve crumbling once Ianto was dying, Frobisher ever so slowly turning back from the darkside... Jesus I can't believe how good that was! and did I mention....IANTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think there's a substantial deus ex machina risk, but this episode was better than Wednesday's installment and it was certainly very tense. The hour flew by.
Well if that's right talk about going out with a bang. This has been one of the best things I have watched for ages.

sweet jezus, that was one of the finest pieces of SF I have seen in a long time. Who knew I would be enjoying Torchwood so much. Can't wait for day 5!
That was the best hour of television this year bar none. And it was almost completely a bunch of people sitting around a table talking. (Including Nick Briggs!) I assume the inspiration was "Conspiracy" that film about the Nazis planning the Final Solution. The good news is Lois should make it out of the story alive to take Ianto's place on the team, and they'll probably hire Agent Johnson too.
