It was a very romantic setting ... we cruised up and down the Potomac past all the famous DC landmarks, and then stopped right in front of the Washington Monument to watch the fireworks. At the height of the fireworks display, a guy proposed to his girlfriend about 10 feet away from us!
The whole boat erupted into applause when she said "yes." (I can't imagine how awful it would have been if she'd said "Let me think about it" instead ... 
)
