I'm assuming he maybe disembowelled himself at the last second and hurled the bomb away as he fell, so just got fried - but intact - in the fireball
my mum watched it, I think that is more to do with the fact that she is one of those people for whom BBC One is a default channel, and if there is nothing else on, she will just watch BBC One whatever is on.I just hope it was watched by a lot of people...

Maybe this sort of format is the future of Torchwood and perhaps nuWho too - multi-part stories on consecutive nights with killer cliffhangers to keep the interest going... and yet ironically it's the sort of thing Doctor Who had been doing for decades before the 2005 reboot.The BBC has the interested audience for this sort of thing now, so they can't not do this really.
